Natural Gas Pipe Installation Specialists

Our company is involved in various segments of the energy industry.  BHI has over fifty years of experience in the construction and installation of natural gas pipeline facilities. The scope of BHI’s operations is in the construction and installation of natural gas gathering, processing, transmission and distribution mainline.  We also provide services in the fabrication and installation of launchers, measurement and regulation stations.  Station fabrication work is performed at our new facility in Massillon, Ohio.  In addition, we also tie in natural gas wells, install flow lines and set tank batterys.

Our capabilities include the installation of steel, plastic and Fiberspar pipe.  We install steel pipeline that is operated at pressures reaching 3,000 psi.  Steel pipe installation ranges from 2” through 42” in diameter, with a majority installed averaging 6” through 30” in diameter.  We also   install plastic pipe that ranges from 1” through 15” in diameter.  The majority of the plastic pipe is used for distribution mainline that is operated at low and medium pressure.  The average size that is installed averages 4” through 12”.

We operate in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.  Our customers are local distribution companies, producers, interstate pipeline companies, gathering and processing pipeline companies, and industrials.  The public utilities consist of Dominion East Ohio, Dominion Hope, Peoples Natural Gas, Columbia Gas of Ohio, Northeast Ohio Natural Gas and National Energy Co-op.  BHI has been active in the bare steel pipeline replacement program currently underway by Dominion East Ohio and Columbia Gas of Ohio.  We provide construction services for more than three dozen producers, such as, Range Resources, Phillips Exploration, Ohio Valley, Bass Energy, Summit Petroleum.  Some of our transmission and gathering pipeline customers are Dominion Transmission, MarkWest Energy Partners and Ohio Intrastate Gas Transmission.  We have also installed major pipeline facilities for industrial customers such as General Motors, NASA, and Longview Power Plant in Morgantown, West Virginia.
